But, I don't know how to apply filters to a clip in Premiere 6.0.

Drag and drop :|

They're not "filters" they're "effects" and you can only use the ones provided with Premiere or ones that are SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR ADOBE PREMIERE.

There is a possibly that a few of the filters from Adobe Photoshop will work in Premiere, but most do not.

After Effects filters may work too......and I think I've had quite a few Photoshop filters work for me....

After I apply an effect though and then preview the video in little Monitor thing it doesn't show the effect. I really need specifics on this since I'm so "stupid".

Yes, we generally do prefer if people read the manual. However, I'll give an explanation.

If you have a version of Premiere that earlier than 6.5, you won't be able to see your effects in the Monitor window because Premiere can't render the effects on the fly. In order to see your effect, just press Enter and you should be prompted to save your file and some other stuff, but after Premiere goes through your timeline and renders everything, you should be able to see the effect. This process is called a "preview."

Premiere 6.5 can do realtime previews where you don't have to press enter and save a little file. It's pretty neat.

Hey, RadicalEd0: Yeah, it may be cool, but just remember one thing: the dyslexic camel's fleas only eat cantaloupes on Saturdays, Wednesdays, and Friday the 13ths unless Bill Clinton has an attack of amnesia...in that case, all nuns on Earth run around their shoes yelling "COLLEGE RULED PAPER!!!"

This is a anti-warez site. While we understand that people don't have millions of dollars to waste away on this little hobby, that is no reason to 'brag' about stealing software and/or anime from companies. I am sure 75% of the people here probably have not paid for it.

The policy here is more of a "Don't ask, don't tell" or also "Don't ask stupid questions which means you haven't read the manual because you probably got a warez copy of it and you probably lack and sort of motivation to learn more about digital video and will want us to help you with every little thing when the people helping you have purchased Premiere for a couple hundred and READ The fucking manual and we're stuck helping a fool who can't read the manual and likes to 'brag about how he got it for free'".

You can have your stolen copy of Premiere, just never admit to it and if you do atleast put a negative spin on it.
