AMVapp premiere plugin problems

Postby RipperX » Sat Sep 07, 2002 1:37 am

Hey guys,

I just did a new install of premiere 6.5, and then installed the AMVapp. For some reason when I import the avs files into premiere, I get an "Unrecognized exception!" . It shouldn't matter that the plugin and the source are on different drives right? I have it set with the complete path, but I'm getting this error. Anyone know what's wrong? Thanks in advance.

You get this error in Premiere, or in the vid that shows up when you try to import?

if its avisynth that's throwing the error, you likely have a problem with your .d2v file, your avisynth script, or a pathname problem.

Try redoing your d2v project, make sure you're using DVD2AVI 176, not a higher version, check your AVS script carefully, and make sure there are no spaces in any pathname to your project file.

If its premiere, I have no idea, and you're prolly screwed.

an unrecognized excepton is a problem with avisynth, not the plugin.

also, you expect me to give you technical support with premiere 6.5? Yeah, right.

You know what, I tried loaded it in virtualdub and it won't open and gives me the same error. Any ideas Absolute? removed all the AMVapp and manualy installed all the components and it still didn't work.

it's your script, not the software.

YOUR SCRIPT IS WRONG

post your script here and I'll tell you what you've done wrong. Alternatively read the documentation on how to actually use the softare.

I used my old script that I was using all the time. This time I just adjusted the paths' drive letter. Anyway here it is.

LoadPlugin("C:\AVSFilters\MPEG2DEC.DLL")
MPEG2Source("F:\DVD\OAV.d2v")

If you've moved thing then you will have to remake your dvd2avi project file. Make sure you also use version 1.76 of dvd2avi as included in the pack.

I redid the project in dvd2avi, and still I get the problem. I tried another set of vobs from another anime, and still the same error. It's weird since it worked before, back it's not workign now. You think it's a Avisyth problem only?
