I really need help!!!! This is urgent!!!

Postby Squall3X » Thu Sep 05, 2002 6:30 pm

I used ErMaC's guide for DVD ripping. So far, I successfully ripped the VOB file and its in a folder with a bunch of other futz. Can someone please tell me how to convert this file to an AVI or MPEG WITHOUT using Adobe Premiere cause that's all ErMaC explains how to do. I have AVISynth, DVD2AVI 1.76 and Smart Ripper. And I don't know how to use AVISynth cause when i downloaded it, it had no .exe file or anything. If anyone could help me out here, I would honestly appreciate it SO MUCH. Thanks alot.

I looked up "installing Avisynth" google and got an answer to your question....

Here I'll make it easier....

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... gle+Search

so you won't have to got to www.google.com and type it in yourself....
you still have to cut and paste.... I won't make it that easy for you to solve your urgent problem... (I'm a prick you see).

This answers your first question.... installing avisynth

Umm I'll leave you to your own devices for your second problem (opening up dvd's in a program other than google) But I'll give you a hint...

you can use DUN DUN DUN Virtualdub much the same way you would insert it into premiere... (usefull little proggie you'll see several comment on it in the software section

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/legacy/software.php

scroll down to find it... again copy and paste.

as for turning your AVS file into a DIVX encode... there are many places on line with guides on how to do just that.... In Fact I think ERMAC mentioned such a place in his guide.... Hmm... (don't worry you'll learn what an AVS file is soon enough if you don't already know....)

Oh to learn how to use AVISYNTH try searching on GOOGLE

"using avisynth"

That will help you out some...... GOOD luck I hope that ctrl - c Ctrl - v isn't too hard for you....

Cheers and don't thank us... we are all here to serve you.... 8)

really now?

kaff kaff sorry I shouldn't of responded to that opening....

but still please its not that hard.... Do try to use google or some other search engine to solve your problems before coming to the Board, you'll find teaching yourself much more rewarding intellectually at least than coming to the board beggin for help.....

I don't even think your question is in the right section....

Anyhow there is a saying (forgive me all of brining the big G into this... I try to keep the internet as agnostic as possible)

"God does indeed help those who help themselves"

You'd get alot more done if you stopped relying others... Think about it.

If you have trouble installing avisynth just use the AMVapp in the thread at the top of this forum - it installs it for you.
