Got a couple questions about Premiere and using AVI Synth for sources.
The Problem:
So far, I've got the video done, it looks nice, sounds nice, but its 628 MB and unshrunk and uncompressed. Everytime I use Premiere to shrink it to a more reasonable size (I saved it as an uncompressed AVI then re-imporeted it to Premiere to shrink it) and encode it with DivX (for some reason I can only choose 5.0.2 to encode with though I have 4.12 and 3.11a installed) Media Player, nor any other DivX specific video programs can read the video.
The Questions:
Should I be using some program other than Premiere to shrink the video down and encode it to DivX?
Microsoft only has Media Player 6.4 available for 95/NT, I have 7.1 (which must die a horrible death). Is there anyplace that has 6.2 for download, and not a link to Microsoft?
And lastly, how can I get Premiere to recognize the other DivX codecs? Should I unistall 5.0.2 and reinstall the 3.11a and 4.12 then reinstall 5? (using XP as an operating system, if that helps any)
Thanks, and I apologize if these are answered elsewhere. I'm at work and can't sift through all the forum posts.
