Midi >> mp3

I'm looking for a reliable program that can convert midi files to mp3's. If anyone knows of a free one, then it's even better. I don't want to spend money on something that I'll probably only use one or two times.

you probably already have one ;)

WinAmp

This gets it to a WAV file, which can then be exported out as a MP3 from one of your fav WAV > MP3 proggies, or you can get the Lame Winamp Output Plugin.

Try this maybe? Then run the .WAV file through an MP3 encoder.

klinky - that's like one of the coolest winamp skins ever.

I expected no less from you :D Now is there an Asuka one?

Yeah the Misato one is pretty good, 'cept for the guy who did it, didn't do the playlist properly so it's kinda bungled there, but the main/eq windows are Misatotastic.

I do happen to have a Auska skin at the moment.

Though I don't think it's a very good one.... and she's wearing Misato's jacket no less ;)

Hey and I actually tried putting a Mid through the ole WinAMP diskwriter, and it didn't work. Maybe since mid isn't played back through the waveout, it can't capture it(maybe it's played through the midi mapper or something  ).

Hmm try Kthulu's program if it WinAMP fails you.
