dude you're going to get a lot of people pissed off by asking that question ;)

You see, *cough* most people don't spend hundreds of dollars on a program and then expect a message board to teach them how to use it. If you did, which you most likely did not, spend $$$ on Premiere and you're asking us how to use it, then you're a sad sad person.

Now Premiere is a fully functional, very robust, editing program. It is not the easiest to use, it is not the hardest, but we can't possibly teach you every thing on how to use it... I mean just to get started is a pain.

You're basically saying "I don't know anything about video, now tell me how it works..." it's not going to work that way, we don't feel like typing pages on pages of information that is already in something called "A FUCKING MANUAL".

Take a look at the help file, in case you did bootleg this copy, most come with a help file still, if it does not then you're up shit creek and will have to find another copy, if you're "borrowing" it from a friend, same thing, shit creek.

Anyways. Check out the guides, check out my poorly written Premiere guide @ http://coolantx.hn.org/guide/ - which was not continued due to the fact that Iam practically quoting the manual.

and check out that ever important manual...

Thank you...

Ahem*
Since some things in life just really get onto others then maybe I should rephrase my main area of problem.

I don't know how to take from a clip and put it exactly where i want to and how to time it better

most options I'm not to sure about becuase I personally didnt goto any schooling or pay attention when i was in school to all the technical jargon

So let me rephrase my help question:

If anyone (who doesn't have a load of problems or blow up at the slightest ack for help ) could possibly just talk to me for a few minutes and get me started the rest I would do on my own.

I ask you all because you are all expereinced in this and because there was a time when you weren't remember your troubles then and lend a helping hand Please.

So you paid for Adobe Premiere classes and didn't listen...

You asked "how does it work..." to which I replied read the manual. To which you replied, "I want someone to be my personal tutor...". Well over a hundred other people have asked the same question here on the boards and most of the people who listened during school don't have the time / patience to be a tutor, I mean, I don't think you'd want to tell 100 people how to do the exact same thing over and over again.

The answer to your question is "Drag the clip to the timeline and adjust as needed....". More info can be found in the Premiere manual/help file. Heck the guide I made even tells you how.

Do you need someone to get on a instant messenger program and walk you through the process, or how about we have someone go right to your house.

The fact is that many people started from no where and figured it out with out bugging other people because they actually read a manual, searched the web and found what they needed.

Also the fact that you didn't listen in class doesn't give me great hope that you're going to listen to what we have to say. There is quite a bit of technical jargon that goes into video editing and it's not for the light at heart.

Wow I just love America the land with giant a$$holes.

You know I come here to ask you for help because I thought you know if these guys are good enough to make awesome videos MAYBE just maybe they would know how to help somebody but instead the only help I received was look somewhere else. As which I'm guessing mean't look where there is knowledge. Because from your corner of the world you don't know anything about words like considerate, helpful, or insightful, instead I guess where you grew up they only taught you words like prick, selfish, and useless.

I came with a nice question, you replied with 2 rude replies.

In less than one month I report to the Army where I will be serving my country and protecting a select group of people who continue to go through life with respect for anything. I am going to be putting my life on the line to save the First Ammendment so that people like this klinky guy can talk to me with the upmost of disrespect.

So I would just like to thank you for reminding me that though our country may be the best damn one it still contains the worst of people in it.

(I would like to say that the above message only truely refers to klinky and those who choose to agree with him, everyone else I am gladly going to be protecting you in a few short days)

スーパフレイムバスタ、スイチオン!!

Listen, jerk, you're the one who's being incredibly rude. klinky here responded very nicely and explained why you're probably not going to get a lot of help here, and he even answered one of your questions and gave you a link to a guide he spent lots of time writing. Then you go and swear at him. Dude, your post came off as FAR more insulting and juvenile than his.

Guess what? The problem with our country isn't the fact that some people are rude. You want rude? Go to France, I lived there. Now that's rude. No, the problem with our country is that people have lost the ability to figure s@#$ out for themselves.

With the advent of ye olde interweb, people suddenly have a medium of instant, effortless communication. What does this mean? It means that 90% of the incredibly lazy people out there now have a way to bug all the people who actually do work, while not expending any effort themselves. The internet has allowed them instant access to people with knowledge and thus they figure that they can simply get those people to learn 'em real good, so to speak.

That's why newbies post stupid topics over and over again. It's so much easier to just post and hope someone responds instead of taking the effort to search through the forums to see if the question's been asked, or even READING THE GODDAMN FAQ.

You, good sir, fall into this category of lazy people. You apparently feel you are entitled to help from us. GUESS WHAT? NEWSFLASH! YOU AREN'T! Any help any of us give is out of our own kindness and generosity. Some of us such as myself and klinky have taken our valuable time and written guides to help LOTS of people all at once! Yet do people read them?! NO! They come and bug us anyway with questions that are easily answered and explained in our guides.

So guess who the selfish one is here? YOU. It's just me, me, me, help me, help me, I don't know how please wipe my ass for me. If you want some goddamn help, don't bother us with questions that are already answered in guides some of us have taken the time to write or are written in the manual. YOU have the power to go figure this stuff out yourself, it's not like we're holding the great magical secrets of the universe here, it's all out there for you to find.

So go find it yourself, jackass.

If these are the kind of people our army is comprised of it makes me wonder why Iraq didn't kick our ass durring the Gulf War.

JCR: "Lieutenant! There are people over there shooting at us, what should we do?"

Lieutenant: "Return fire!"

JCR: "But I don't know how! Can you please show me how to point my gun? What does this little lever do? How do I fit the metal things into the barrel? I think it's broken as the metal things wouldn't fit, so I took a hammer to it and..."

Lieutenant: "How did you make it through basic training anyways?"

Dear Lord... if I need to trust you to protect me, I might be better off registering with the Taliban's army.

Hey, JCR, jackass

Postby NicholasDWolfwood » Sun Jul 28, 2002 10:52 pm

Hey, JCR, you're a jackass. Hell. I'm 10, I downloaded Premiere 6 (I know, I know, piracy) and I learned how to do a lot of stuff in just a few days of experimenting. Go fiddle with Premiere, instead of asking us for help. A lot of people like Phade, ErMac, and klinky have written guides up, and put them on the web. You, asking for help here, when the questions you've asked are in both the guides and in the Premiere manual, is acting like a noob. Hey, when you go in the army, this is you.

General: Hey, JCR, go fire a cannon at the Taliban and destroy them.

You: Okay, sir.

<ten minutes later, still no firing of cannon>

General: What's taking you so long?

You: Um, sir, I don't know how the fire a cannon, can you please help me?

General: How in the flying fuck did you pass the training course?

You: I didn't take it.

General: Ugggg, go shoot yourself. OH! YOU DON'T FUCKING KNOW HOW! Get out of here, maggot, you're a disgrace to the United States Army.
