i am happy! here's what i got.

ecs l4s8a2 motherboard
p4 2.8
1gb ddr
120gb western digital HDD
radeon 7000 (i'll explain later)
16x dvd

I am going to install a 52x cd-rw (or 48x) and i have a radeon 9700 pro i need to install. Well thats my prob. when i put it in and boot, i get no post and no video. any ideas? i looked at a few message boards and a lot of ppl who had this prob said to RMA the card back to ATI (in other words send it back for a new up to date one). anyone else have this prob?

Did you install them at the same time? Or seperately?

Try the 9700 card by itself, if you haven't. If it doesn't post with the 9700, but will post with the 7000, odds are pretty good the 9700 is bad. You can further build a case for a potential RMA by taking out the additional cards (sound, modem, NIC, etcetera) in your system and trying the 9700 on its own. If it still doesn't post, get an exchange or your money back.

Well you can always try the card in another computer and see if it works out. If it doesn't work there then you would probably want to RMA. Nothing much you can do besides trouble shoot it.

I know that there were some issues with a few motherboards not supplying enough voltage to the AGP slot, but that was awhile back.

makes sure your cards are seated right. This may require you to unscrew them from the case. Some cases are bent just oh so slightly, and when you screw the card into the side, it'll throw it out of alignment. All mine are dangling right now. They're held up with scotch tape...WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT?!
