Short answer: Yes, I believe so.

This would be better in the Video Software Help forum, as that's where most threads to this effect seem to be.

Do a search on PS2 in the video help categories- you should find most of your answers there, as this question has been asked many times before.

In theory, yes.

In practice, not yet, AFAIK. The tools aren't available yet.

Also, only actual video would be extractable - you wouldn't be able to extract footage which is rendered as you play.

it's amazing to think how long it takes adobe to render your video, and then compare that to the ps2 where it renders things like FFX just, on the go like that. Sure a videogame consol has a whole lot less to manage than an entire pc, but damn it's fast.

First, Adobe doesn't do it, Premiere does it.

Second, what the PS2 renders is polygonal graphics with texture maps - Premiere renders streams fo video. Two completely different animals, and not really comparable.

I'm not pissed, I was being clam and very literal. I just think think your post was pretty stupid, rediculous, and pointless. So like I said, people say those things, and if you make stupid recidulous, pointless posts every where, I'm not surprised. That's all I'm saying.

You were comparing apples to papayas there Jace. It's hardly pointless or stupid to point that out so that other people aren't missled by such a comment.

And the PS2 doesn't have less to manage when compared to Adobe Premiere, it has a completely different situation. It would be a much better example to compare the rendering done real time in a video game to this, and even then it's not straight apples to apples.

I'm always fascinated how the more intelligent people on the site tend to immediately understand what I say and why, and the people who are quicker to pass judgement and don't even try to understand what I'm saying percieve it simply as they want to see it (based on the less intelligent peoples' opinions of me), and therefore get annoyed with me.

Thanks for the laugh.

Oh, and "adobe" is a type of clay often used to build houses. It is also the name of a developer of computer software. It is not a video editor. To refer to a developer of many, many types of still and motion design software as nothing more than a single video editor is ludicrous.

If nobody points out the faux pas, "adobe" is liable to be as obfuscatious as "smurf" -

"I opened adobe and made my image in adobe then I exported from adobe to adobe and added some of the stuff with the adobe plugins then opened up a timeline in adobe and added my adobe image (that I started in adobe) then I opened adobe and typed my report on adobe, and I used adobe because it let me use the pictures I made in adobe."

The consequences...the consequences...

I was refering to adobe premiere, how could you not get that. It's ALMOST the only adobe application ever talked about on this site, and it's constantly being brought up. Uh yeah, I was tlaking about clay, because clay fits into this thread PERFECTLY. It was so incredibly stupid for you to say what you did, and I'm sticking to that. You coulda have mentioned how I was reffering to premiere, which obviously you picked up. to to tell me in such a way that mkaes it seem like you're tell ing me off (stress seem there) and then go as far to correct me in the way you did was rude, and stupid.

First, Adobe doesn't do it, Premiere does it.

you could have simply said exactly what you said afterwards but without the second, and I would have never had a problem at all. What you did was rude, and stupid. Why wouldn't some one be anoyed by this?

Why is the second thing I said stupid or rude, when I was simply correcting a blatant error?
