Laptop + capture card = concern

How much space does a capture card take up? Since my laptop has only 37 gigs....should I get a bigger hard drive if it takes up too much space?

if you want to capture high quality video 10min+ then 37 gig is not enough.

the other solution is to get an external hard drive that connects via USB or Firewire (or External Sata if you have it...but I highly doubt it)
this is a relatively cheap way to add lots of storage to any computer
(250GB WD external HD goes for about $150 on sale)

some external Hd options and be sure to read the reviews

is enough if you take conpression directly from imput device, if you want it you must take external or internal hd 250gb +

And if you're going external, you can save a bit by putting componets together yourself. A simple external enclosure with an internal hdd takes minutes to set up (connect 1 cable, tighten some screws, and you're done) and you can get 400GB for the same price as the 250GB one mentioned before.
