The computer is using standard DDR ram running at 400Mhz. It's an Intel processor and he's using a crappy 64MB ATI video card. He's running Windows XP Home and it's service pack 1a, because we just reformated his hard drive and reinstalled the OS. If it helps to know, it's an MDG computer

It ran perfectly before, but now whenever you do anything like right click on something and try to see it's properties, it takes like a whole minute to load the properties window, even when there is nothing else running in the background. Another thing that we have noticed is that when you load up a program complety, it runs smoothly once it's all loaded, but it takes super long to load even when its a low ram program like Notepad. Hope this gives a bit more depth to the nature of the problem.
