Saving videos to CD-RW/DVD-RW tips?

Postby raichu862000 » Tue Jan 11, 2005 8:04 pm

I make my videos in Windows Movie Maker, and for some odd reason it saves the audio track alone to the CD-RW, and the video isn't captured (so I hear the track but don't see my video). I bought a few DVD-RWs, but when I try to use those my CD writer drive spits them back out, as does my DVD drive. What on earth do I have to do to record my videos to a CD of any kind so I can share them with friends?

P.S. The videos are saved as .wmv, not .avi, which might complicate a few things.

Do you have a DVD-RW drive, or just a CD-RW?

A DVD burner is significantly different from a CD burner.

I have both a CD writer and a DVD writer, and Windows Movie Maker only lets you record your videos to a CD-R or CD-RW. I've tried to do that, and I get audio but no video when I play it back from the CD I've just recorded it from.

Well, try just exporting the video to a file. When you have a working file, then burn that to CD.
