Port 21 (FTP)

Postby BigDude » Fri Nov 12, 2004 5:47 pm

Alright, Im trying to set up my ftp once again... I found the reason it will never allow connections is because Port 21 is "Stelth". Now, for some reason I cant seem to get it to be "Open", this is either Norton's fault or Windows' fault... either way Im not a happy camper.

Can anyone tell me how I can get Port 21 "Open"? Or maybe if I wrong as to what the problem is, tell me what the problem really is?

Firewalls. Disable them or set up a rule.

Try a different port, then. Configure the server to run on a different port.

Well I still have the problem of not being able to "Open" any of my ports. Turning off my firewall changes some to "Closed" but none "open"... :\

FTP Port 20 usually works on FTP's. Disable your firewall, or at least allow a direct connection to your FTP.
