Buy Quicktime Pro. Open up the files you rip off the DVD and convert them to Quicktime (preferably DV). Good luck.

Just an addition.
3ivX isn't my favorite codec, but it dose have playback on Windows, Mac, Linux, and the rare BeOS with most Mpeg4 video. Audio suport is up to your own research.
Again, its not the best, but it works for my Quicktime files in Windows.

3ivx.com

This post is not helpfull from here on:
Quicktime has been know to be slow in Windows. 3ivx D4 alows Quicktime files to play in Windows Media player with out the Quicktime lag.
If it dosn't suport Linx then I made a mistake. I'm also not sure if its BeOS form BeOS Inc and YellowTab, or BlueEyedOS or BeOS Box witch is based on the BlueEyedOS Linx Kernal thing.
No, I'm not dead...
I've just moved to Politicaly Corect "Republic of Ireland".
