Um... GB/MB formats?

How big are your VOBs? You can only fit 650 or 700 MB (depending on your CD) onto a CD-R. If each VOB is 1 GB, then you're not going to be able to fit any of them onto a CD.

I believe that SmartRipper lets you set whether you want it to create a new VOB for every chapter, or for every episode, or for every gigabyte, or whatever.

And in DVD decryptor it can break vobs down in to segments which is particularly helpful if you have filesize limitations like in Win98.
Make sure you rip in IFO mode: Mode -> IFO
To access the option go to: Tools -> Settings -> IFO Mode tab

The file-splitting choices are:
Auto
By Cell
By Vob
By Chapter
By Layer
650 MB
700 MB
780 MB
810 MB
870 MB
1 GB
2 GB
4 GB
None
