Problem with DVD converting

Postby HurQlez03 » Sun Jan 11, 2004 6:22 pm

Well I have gotten a 120GB external hard drive for Xmas so now I have stored a lot of anime into it. I ripped the files into the drive, converted them into d2v and then used a simple MPEG2Source command to make an avs file. But the propblem is it wont open up in premiere. It says "MPEG2Source:Could not open file. (E:\DR.avs, line 1) I tired putting the avs in the same place as the d2v, nothing. I tried adding LoadPlugin, nothing. I need HELP!!!!

Try putting the AVS in the same location as the D2V file, but change the MPEG2Source command to just the filename, don't include the path. Also remove the LanzcosResize because you don't need it, DVD footage is already @ 720x480...

Also your drive letters haven't changed since you made the d2v file have they ?

I got bubkus. And no the letters didnt change. I put the avs in the same room as the d2v, left my NGE Death and Rebirth avs file as followed: MPEG2Source("DR.avs")

got this back

MPEG2Source: couldn't open file (E:\Anime for Adobe\D_R_ALPHA\VIDEO_TS\DR.avs, line 1)
dammit. What did I do?

Open the D2V file in Notepad and look for drive letter listings, make sure it's where your VOBs are located...

And you haven't deleted your VOB files have you?

Do you ever go crazy when something goes wrong because of a simple thing? It is like when you ask why your house was robbed and someone asked: "Did you remeber to lock the door?" FUUUUUUUUUCCCCCKKKK

Ok. Well. I checked the file path of the d2v file and I gues it was locked at one place in the drive to work properly. So I moved the folder to the spot, recoded the avs and wouldnt ya know it opens up. Thanks.

Oh by the way, I have to resize the file because I am working with the tv episodes as well so they must be the same size. If you know how to change the TV shows into widescreen like the movies tell me.
