wuts going on?
Don't use DVD2AVI to save AVI files. Use DVD2AVI to save <i>D2V</i> files (DVD2AVI project files), then write AVISynth scripts for the D2Vs and load the scripts into VirtualDub, THEN use VirtualDub to save the AVI files.
Or, perhaps a better idea: Use <a href="http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net">VirtualDubMod</a> to open the VOBs directly, bypassing DVD2AVI entirely, and save the AVIs without any intermediate steps. I just tried loading up a VOB in VDubMod, and it went off without a hitch; however, there's been no guide written for this method yet, so you might feel safer using DVD2AVI, AVISynth, and VDub.
I feel like I've been overusing the phrases "Don't use DivX source" and "Don't use DVD2AVI to save AVI files" in the past month or so...
