pc to tv

Man this feels like a huge newbie question.

When video capture cards say that you can watch tv on your desktop...Does it also mean the other way so that I can see the pc on my tv?

No.

You need a TV-Output card for this to work. Most new video cards have a TV-out port built into them.

I don't know of any stand-alone cards that do this.

You can get a new video card that has TV-out for as little as $40.

That's a capture card. Video card is different from a capture card.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400. I looked around but I don't know if it has a tv-output. I would look behind my PC but it's against a wall on a desk that has so much stuff on it.

Get off your ass and look.

No actually if you check out your Display properties(in control panel) then look around in there for "Settings", then there should be an Advanced button. In there, you may have some stuff for TV-output. If you don't or it's grayed out, it doesn't exist or something is broken.

:P

Also dude, check your manual.

"I don't know if my video card has TV out or not, I could turn my PC off and rotate it around and check in 15 - 20 minutes, but not I'd rather post on the internet and have someone look up the information for me. But also while I am doing that I am going to not be very descriptive".

Some GF2Mxs have them, some don't. Maybe if you had a model # or brand name then it would be easier. But then :P if you had that you could have just searched on yahoo with the model # ;) Right :?:
