19" Monitors

Postby Akashio » Wed Apr 30, 2003 9:31 pm

I need to buy a good CRT 19" Monitor. Preferably one that isn't curved. Also I need it to be low-cost. Anyone have any suggestions?

Ebay.

As for brands, I like my used Cornerstone :? . Although it is curved.

I've got a CTX... it was fairly cheap IIRC (was a present, so I don't remember exactly). Dunno if it's flat or not, but I've been quite happy with it, and it's my second CTX (my 17" is a CTX as well).

In my opinion, the best quality for price CRTs are invariably Samsung ones.

My synchmaster 959nf has been a great purchase and it wasnt all that pricey when I got it.

I'm a fan of the NEC flat tube monitors.

Korea Data System...or KDS.

Look at one, you will see the tell tale sign of trinitron aperture grill on it.

I second that. I've been using a SyncMaster 765MB (a 17", but Samsung of course makes 19" monitors too :P ) since my old Toshiba burned out, and it's been great. Inexpensive, nice, sharp, flat image, and that really nifty MagicBright feature ;)

ViewSonic all the way! I have a E90FB and soon getting a second monitor which is a P95F+B.

Get the E90FB!

Antireflection screen
0.21mm horizontal dot pitch x 0.25 diagonal dot pitch
Comes in Black!! (If you don't want the black then get the E90F in plain bege)
Power saver too. . . Energy Star!

Had mine for a year and never had a single problem.

You can get it at www.pricewatch.com
E90F - $215.43 -----\
E90FB- $215.43 -----|----Tax Shipping included
E90FSB - $217.00---/

The E90FSB is your best bet if you don't care about color, which is silver and black. Very nice looking! This monitor has a a higher max resolution of 1792x1344 @ 61Hz. Also has a UltraBrite 3X technology, perfect for graphic editing when you want to get your HSB percentage perfect!

Hope this helps.
