To those that have this capture card... Help! My friend and I are trying to capture some footage but can't seem to get to footage to work properly. First off the box says it captures at MPEG2, but if that's true Win DVD should be able to open it. Not to mention TMPGEnc! Second is it really MPEG2? Or will I need specific codecs? What have those of you with this card done to get footage to work? Or will it?

Unfortunately, that card is simple crap, I bought one off a friend of mine when I first wanted to try out some AMV editting about a year and a half ago, and I quickly discovered that the card is probably one of the worst capture cards out there. It drops frames at higher capture settings, etc. I could never get it to properly capture in Mpeg2 format, so I think you are out of luck unless some one who really went town with figuring the cards eccentricities out arrives.

-_-

You are drawn towards the open source drivers... yes the open source ones.. the ones that work:

http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/

You can do 640x480 in Vdub with these ;o.

Don't use the ATI software =\
