DC30Pro 2gig file limit

Postby Waldo » Sat Feb 22, 2003 12:22 pm

Right now I have a DC30Pro running under Windows 2000 and am having trouble getting past the 2 gig AVI file size limit. My drives are formatted as NTFS so the operating system can handle file sizes larger than two gigs. So far the websites I've looked up have said to use VirtualDub to get over the size issue, but VirtualDub can't captureusing the DC30Pro under Windows2000. And as far as I can tell, Adobe Premiere 6.0 can't capture using the DC30Pro(though it can edit and output with it). So, any suggestions on how I can capture more than about 4.5 minutes at a time?

The only thing you can do is install win98 for captures and use vdub, I'm afraid.

Pinnacle support died for the DC30 just after they did beta 2000 drivers and they have never been able to get the hardware to use Video for Windows under win2k.

There's nothing you can do I'm afraid - there was a project to make new drivers but that died a long time ago.
