Zarx264gui 1.33 - Sept 29

Post by Zarxrax » Wed Sep 29, 2010 3:54 pm

I just released a new version of zarx264gui: http://amvhell.com/stuff/zarx264gui/
Let me know if you find any problems, otherwise, this version will probably go in the new amvapp.

Huzzah! I'll try this right away since I've been having trouble with 1.32.

Didn't realize there was a 1.32 release. I'll grab this when I get home and give it a whirl. I'll also test the level settings as well since I own all of those devices to see if they do in fact work or not.

The 4.1 should be fine, but for the 3.0 baseline for iphone, resolution should be taken into account... and I have no clue what the resolution is.

Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
So the resolution sounds variable to me.

Happy to report I'm not having issues with this like I did with 1.32!

Works much better than the previous zarx I had.

As far as the settings (quantizer, advanced settings ) what should I put it at? I just recently rendered out my video from premiere as a "none" so it's completely uncompressed with the audio in the avi file.

The default settings are the defaults because they are the answer to the question "what should i put the settings at".

I noticed some blocking on darker areas of my footage but I guess it's just supposed to happen with compression.

Lowering the quantizer might help that, at the expense of making the file larger.
