Blood+ openings

Postby marthwmaster » Sat Feb 27, 2010 12:00 pm

I've started watching Blood+ again, taking notes of good scenes to use for the AMV I want to make, only to make a shocking discovery: the DVD collection does not contain textless versions of the openings and endings! Now, for the endings this doesn't bother me, since they've got that thickly-drawn manga style that's cute, but not really useful in the AMV. The openings, however, contain a lot of footage I want to use, particularly the third and fourth openings. Does anyone know where/how I can obtain these videos?

Thanks in advance, even if I am, in fact, SOL.

Japanese DVDs seem to have them, so import is a solution. Photoshop is another solution, but, well... good luck.

I haven't been able to find the imports for anything resembling a reasonable price. Yesasia.com has them listed for $62ish. If possible, I'd really, really like to go about this the legal way. And I've got no Photoshop skill to speak of, so that is ruled out completely.

Prices like those (give or take $5) are, sadly, considered normal in Japan.

Kinda makes you laugh when you hear people complain about DVD and BRD prices in the US.

Generally speaking, I need no additional incentive to laugh when people complain about the prices here, especially when you get someone who's still talking about individual volume prices.

Alright, so the only question left to ask here is: Which volumes contain which textless OPs?

<mirkosp> Emess , ever dealt with Blood+?
<Emess> yes
<mirkosp> happen to remember which DVDs have the creditless OPs?
<Emess> I didn't think any of them did
<mirkosp> uhm
<mirkosp> online I can find creditless OPs/EDs
<mirkosp> and since the american DVDs don't have them, I thought the R2J would
<Emess> i dont think it did
<Emess> only the 4th op
<Emess> and maybe the 1st

Guess it was some other region DVDs to have them. Or someone photoshopped and shared or something. D:
BTW, by online I meant checking on the tube I found 'em.

I sent a message to the guy who uploaded those videos, and he replied by saying that he didn't have them anymore. Sad day.

The Limited Edition of the BLOOD+ Complete Best CD contains a DVD with all the textless openings and closings.
The DVD is not progressive so you will need to IVTC.

It looks like the Limited Edition version is still in print and is available at Amazon.
