Which version of VDubMod, and which OS? Make sure that VDubMod is updated (current version: 1.5.10.3) Also, check your AviSynth plugins folder - certain plugins are known to cause VDubMod and AviSynth to crash unilaterally, or when the folder they're in hits a certain plateau (of files contained in it). Basically, my best advice would be to go through your plugins folder and only keep the ones you actually
use in there. You can stash the others in a subfolder or something, just in case you find a need for one of them later on.
