The Newbie Needs Help!

Postby trivium_lord » Sat Sep 20, 2008 10:49 am

Hi, I'm very much new to the whole editing thing so I don't know how to use a few things like AviSynth and how to clean up my videos so they aren't so pixelated.
Any help would be great.
If you could check out my amv here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRW6cjmtclo
and get back to me that would be great.
(You can see how bad it looks there)
Also i'm using Pinnicale Studio 11 plus atm and was wanting to upgrade to Sony Vegas. Is this wise or should I try something else?

Showing us the youtube link won't do any good, since their converting software rapes any quality there was to begin with.

What Hunter said.

And as far as changing editing software is concerned, download the trials of programs you're interested in and try them before you pick one to buy.

Hmmm yeah that's true about youtube, but still it comes out a little blocky when i want it to come out crystal clear like one of Nostromo's videos.

the quality of your video on that site is ultimately going to come out how their software decides to encode it. That said, if you want best quality on their site you should look up their file type specifications...

as for getting best quality "here" the only thing we can really do is tell you to Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides or check out the beta guides, as they pretty much tell you step by step how to get the best quality for download/distribution.
