Stuck w/ source that's mostly progressive & part interla

Postby basketkase543 » Fri Nov 09, 2007 3:04 pm

I'm trying to begin a new project but my source footage, which I thought was entirely progressive, has ended up being about 3/4 progressive (about the first hour and 15 minutes of the film) and about 1/4 interlaced (the last twenty minutes of the film).

How do I edit footage like this?

When I originally put it through DGIndex, it said that it was a film source so I assumed it would last through the entire film. I chose the "force film" option and proceeded with making the indexed files. After running it through virtualdubmod, however, I saw that the entire ending of the film was interlaced.

Do I need to go back to DGIndex and index the files again but without choosing "force film"? What should I then do from there? I've tried going through the guide but I don't quite know what to do for my particular situation.

Thanks in advance.

20 minutes: I think that this might be the last .vob file. Send this vob threw DGIndex and make a standalone script with a deinterlance method:

So in the end you have 2 scripts for your movie. The part with the progressive stuff and the one with the interlanced part.

A avs script must not contain the whole film ;)
