i'm really confused.
If you set anchors and saved the image with a white background, why do you still show us the image above?
if you want to resize your image go to image > resize... and type in the pixel size you want. If you set bicubic, you can get some very high quality resize upscale.
I assume you want this as a... still for the beginning of your amv? like "STAR FOX PRODUCTIONS" and you want his head? cuz that would be pretty cool

dangit but I still need one more piece of information: is this image with a transparent background going from GIMP > editor or from internet > gimp? if your source file is a PSD with transparency, I haven't worked with thta much. But, if you're exporting out of gimp to editor, use the PNG file format to conserve transparency.
