Anyone work with Blender?

Postby BasharOfTheAges » Sun May 13, 2007 10:24 am

I suppose this would be the better section of the forums to put this in, but if it really belongs elsewhere, feel free to move it.

I've started to work a bit with Blender for some 3d modeling I need to do for a project for a class, but in the future I'd like to incorporate 3d models into a video I'm doing. Does anyone here have experience with Blender? Anyone know any good tutorials? Any advice on animation with Blender?

Thanks in advance.

Both the Blender wiki and the beginners tutorial listed here look pretty nice.

Here's the guide I started learning from: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro
It was kinda outdated and incomplete when I used it though, and I've since forgotten every single thing I learned.

I've been looking through the 2nd one you mentioned for a few days and I think it's pretty good for the project I'm doing right now. As for animation, that remains to be seen.

TRYTHIL. GET YER ASS OVER HERE.

Bashar: I've followed the second guide Zarx linked to, I found it pretty useful and thorough, although I haven't gotten into any complex modeling so I can't say much about the majority of the guide.
