ffdshow... That sounds familiar, is that part of AMV package that you download to make music videos?

Man. I don't know that I have the latest version of WMP. My computer's a couple years old, so probably not.

P.S. And thanks for the comment about her not listening to my comment, Corran. I really needed to hear that. (I'd actually started to think I had done something wrong.)

Who knew non-16 multiplier resolution could cause so many problems?

While it is in the AMVapp, FFDshow is also included in the CCCP codec pack. It is a minimalist codec pack meant strictly for video playback that is highly recommended. Other codec packs install all kinds of crap and encoders you don't need that could play havoc on your computer. (Hence Zarx's recommendation against k-lite.)

But VLC is really good too... if there is a problem playing the file in it though, I'm not sure what config option is available like in ffdshow to fix it. (and that's even assuming my suggestion really does work...)

I tried VLC, and if anything the video looked worse. :? I'll definitely try ffdshow, and updating Windows Media Player.

Good grief.

Should be available in the ffdshow program group in the Programs list on the Start Menu.

Ah ha!

Now, how to apply this to the video in question...
