x.264 playback problems

Postby Arkada » Tue Apr 24, 2007 5:46 am

Alright I'm using VLC to try and play various MP4 files encoded in x264.

They play fine for about 10-20 seconds then the playback just slows down and stops, bu the audio keeps going. The frame refreshes every minute or so but thats hardly enough to watch anything.

Has anyone else had this happen before that might know how to fix it?

I forgot to add that all mp4 files played perfectly around a week ago when I downloaded the files. Its just recently they have been doing this.

Mhmm... The interressting thing is that VLC player uses it´s own codecs. Not the ones you install with packs etc.

So the only thing I guess: Reinstall a newer version or the older one again.

I re-installed VLC and restarted.

That seams to have worked. Thanks Bauzi
