MJPG Codec

Postby The14thGOD » Sun Apr 01, 2007 1:58 pm

Hey,

I tired to start editing my Elfen Lied project again and realized since my reformatting I have no MJPG codec anymore ; /. I looked on google for a free download but all I get is a demo / 60 day trial. last time I could have sworn it was free...so does anyone have a link to the free version?

Thanks in advance.

The one I'm using is the PICVideo MJPEG codec. It's really good since all the frames are keyframes [good for exact cuts] and I'm assuming you want it for its speed.

They boast it to be 'The Fastest Video Codec'

The only drawback is it leaves a watermark for unregistered copies... but I'm also assuming it will just be used for bait and switch editing... so it should be fine:

**edit**
it says trial, does that mean that the codec is only good for x days or that watermark thinger? id guess the latter..

hmm, I don't know... it works in Magix fine... [sorry]

if no premiere users figure it out, I think an alternative MJPEG codec comes along with ffdshow. But I don't know for sure.

I have used picvideo mjpg codec with Adobe Premiere 6.5 and worked fine. Used it for preview only and switched codec when exporting. Did not have any problems... Try to use it with another program. Maybe it's not premiere
