yes

AVISynth can do that; see the built-in functions StackHorizontal and StackVertical.

the link should be working now... >_> download the .avsi file to the plugins folder in the folder where avisynth is installed, and you can call the function in any script you make.

you mean AMV avisynth functions or avs scripts used to make AMVs?

avisynth functions could be found on http://amvwiki.org/ (ah bugger its down :().
this is my azu video for the instrumentality project >_>

edit: pwolf's script is a lot neater than mine :/
