the horrors of divx and xvid's

is there ANY program that actually takes divx format videos. i dont want to sit at my comp and spend hours and empty my hard drive to make mpeg videos for music videos. Can anyone help?

No. At least not without there being problems along the way.

Don't edit with MPEG videos. Convert them all to either Lagarith or HuffYUV. More info here.

I have the DivX Create Bundle installed. Ever since i've had this i've been able to edit DivX videos in Vegas and Premiere without any problems.

To be honest i'm not 100% sure that the DivX create bundle is the reason why i can use divx codecs with ease. But like i said, ever since i've had it installed they've worked fine.

before anyone says anything else, I'd like to say that although it may be possible to use this footage...it's not a good idea to use it as is

take a look at this, and then take a look at this thread

if you use divx/xvid footage, you will get burned...it's just a matter of time
