A Good program for converting MP3 to WAV?

Well when playing around with the audio-framerate (although audio really doesn't have fps, but I'll stick to the term anyway), and you make it play faster (like when converting to 24fps for using like the Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides states), the audio is supposed to be a little noisier, or higher pitched (if that's the right word for it). Because when you take a waveform, and make it "shorter", it will just sound higher...

So there shouldn't be any problem when you're working with this audio file in premiere. When you eventually switch back to the 23.xxx fps, and you use your normal audio file all should be up-sync.

Hope this was of any help to ya!

Hmm... don't think I was clear enough.

It is not music anymore, it is random noise. Here's a taste. (360k wav) Watch your volume for those with sensitive ears. :P

A deeper rooted problem than just increasing the speed of the song a notch.

The GUI is v0.6 b61 (25.10.2002) and the program itself is v1.4 it claims. The logfile also states it's using shibatch.dll which is v0.2 if that's relevent.

I've tried both plugging in the MP3 itself, a WAV created from the MP3 by WinAmp, and a WAV created by Adobe Premiere into the program. Both WAVs were at 44.1khz, 16bit stereo uncompressed.

Only thing I haven't tried yet due to time restraints and an annoying need to sleep is running a non-MP3 source WAV file through the program. I do have a feeling though that might not change anything.

Oh and there's the fact I don't readily have the CD the song is from anymore. That would require mail postage. :P
