A Good program for converting MP3 to WAV?

Postby Angel Auron » Fri Nov 15, 2002 3:36 pm

Any good suggestions for a program that changes MP3's to WAV's quick and easy? It's getting annoying how all my projects in Adobe Premiere don't come out the way I want just because I use MP3's. Thanks in advance.

honestly, converting mp3s to wav still isn't gonna get you the same quality as getting the actual wav, from someone else or having to buy the cd.... but as there are songs that can't be had on any CD

www.mp3-converter.com/mp3_converter_freeware.htm

or just search google for mp3 converters...

by the way to any admins if I posted the link wrong I apologize in advance...

I use cdex for my audio riping needs it's awesome and easily more customizable than MMJB etc. does mp3 -> wav too... but for that why not just load mp3 into an audio track in premier (or audacity) and save the audio portion as a wav?

Ugh...*blinks* thanks for that guide, Absolute, it's very helpful! If only I knew what half that stuff meant. I had no idea simple AMV making was so complicated!! Now I know why some videos take weeks to make, too. >_<

Winamp has a built-in plugin for output to WAV. But it sure isn't going to sound like the original, if ripped from CD.

Semi-on-topic question... (Well, the other recent thread dealing with BeSweet went l33t so I figured this one was safer.)

When using BeSweet to convert a song to the supposed 24fps for good'ole Premiere, I ran into an interesting problem where the output from the lovely program was... well, it's hard to explain. Basically white noise and high-frequency chirps with little bits of the music intertwined is what I got. Horibbly grating on the ears. Certainly not good for even the most half-assed video.

Now, I swear to the forces above that I have followed the true path (Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides) and have everything setup correctly as the Holy Screenshot describes... Alas.

This poor soul seeks help! Any thoughts on what could be causing this heinous corruption of sound? (I like the way that sounds, heh) Or maybe I should just give up on the 24fps music thing. It does sound neat though... Yup, it's two in the morning. I'm delerious.
