I am limited to a 20 Gig HD and can edit with lossless quality compression five minute AMVs (at least, I hope I can... currently testing that hypothesis). The thing is I just have to spend a lot more time managing what little I have and being very efficient. I rip the VOB files, same them as a project in DVD2AVI, convert the d2v files with VFAPIconv, and then go through each episode, select the scenes that I want and save them as a HuffYUV file. Then I blow away the VOB and d2v files. However, this still is not enough. So, I have to edit my video in sections, a minute or so at a time. Once I get a section complete, I encode that as another HuffYUV file and then blow away ALL of the source files. It ain't quick, but it's doable. And then I go to sleep and dream of buying a 200Gig HD.
