A n00b question

A n00b question
I am going to start making videos with some basic stuff, I will be uing 2 VCR's & a CD player. But I need to know....when recording the footage in......how do I make it so the voices from the Anime don't show up in the video? I know that's a dumbass question but I need to know.

don't feed audio (yellow and white cables i think?) from the vcr youre playing the animes with to the vcr youre recording with

Yeah I figured that out when looking at the back of the VCR. I am almost done with it now, lol, it sucks bad, there is even a scene of grey snow for 2 seconds

Because I don't have the necisary stuff to make hookups, plus my Dad won't let me mess with the DVD player.
