MPQ extensions files

Postby Khen Rigzin » Wed Aug 14, 2002 2:20 pm

Iow

Just got a spectacular game but I want to use the movies for an amv.
The only problem is that the extensions is MPQ. I tried to rewrite it with TMPG into an mpg file. I can rip the audio but the video isn't working.
I already tried to change the MPQ in MPG but it gave the same problem

Anybody who can help?

Tnx

What game is it, and for what system?
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

Read Quu's guide - I believe he talks about MPQ files which were also used in Diablo 2.

How strange, I just went and downloaded an MPQ extractor today. MPQs are simply Blizzard's way of compressing files. Changing the extension to MPG would never work simply because it's not just one file that's been compressed. I found an extractor quite easily by just going onto Yahoo and searching for Diablo MPQ. It's called MpqEdit.

and... for warcraft III they did not use Bink... they used DivX

but the mpq is still the storage format
