What do you use?

Postby billy_wires » Wed Sep 24, 2003 5:57 pm

For all my AMV needs, I use ulead, but I always get audio blips. What do you guys use and what does it cost, because no one else seems to get this problem.

T_T . . define . audio blips!

If you mean that the Audio Stops for a split second and then continues,
that's not your Ulead Editor!

Hard to explain, but when a scene changes, the audio skips, like a scratched CD. If you need to see it, my video is:

How much does Adobe cost? Is there a older-but-just-as-good version that might not cost as much.

yeah - I hear it and the screen gets brighter at those points too!

I was counting the seconds between those errors, too see if it were a Key refresh rate being too long - but this problem doesn't seem to be connected to that!

This requires someone with a really-really advanced knowledge of Codec's and their errors; unless this was caused by an error durring the upload ( which doesn't make sense because the error is repeating on both Audio and Video. )

ErMaC - this is right up your alley ^^

which ulead program do you use...

i personally use mediastudio pro 7, the blips in the audio is usually from a bad audio rip, try getting a different mp3, or converting the mp3 to wav before using.

Yeah, I remember this post. It's Media Studio Pro 6.5 Director's Cut. I was wondering how it turned out.

I'm pasting your file properties in this reply. I'm thinking the kbps may be too low. Anybody else?

For Viewing, I set everything ( except wmv's ) to Mediaplayer2 V6.0

For Encoding, just Virtual Dub and Cool Edit althought "we" are building a New Editing Program from scratch as this is being written ^^

as for what I'm not using anymore;
DDClip, Primiere's, IMSI, Ulead, AiST nor MGI stuff.

Personally, I use Premiere 6.0, but I know a great editor who uses Media Studio Pro by the name of MistyCaldwell. Anyways... perhaps what you want to do is get the audio and recompress it along with the video. That may take care of the glitch.
