I need advice for DVD capture...

Postby kiarrens » Sun Sep 14, 2003 3:44 pm

I'm planning on going out and buying a DVD-ROM for my PC so I can capture footage directly onto my computer, but I'm not exactly sure how to go about doing it. Is there a specific kind of DVD-ROM anyone can suggest I buy? And how do I go about getting the video from the DVD-ROM into a file I can work with? I know I'll need some kind of capturing software or something but I'm not sure what. Can anyone help me please? ^_^

You won't really need a specific DVD-ROM drive, but I highly suggest Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides. It's extremely complete and should answer your questions.
