Postby RavenBlaze » Mon Aug 11, 2003 8:01 am

And It Has Some Unknown Audio Codec That I Need..Any Idea What Codec It Might Be, And Where I Could Get It?

not the video codec, the audio codec. It's divx audio. It's the only audio codec that I could imagine would come up as an unknown codec for you.

I Tried Playing It On DivX. Anyways, The Movie Was 'Battle Royale' With English And Chinese Subtitles, If That Helps Any.

Stop capitalising every fucking word, its giving me a fucking migraine!

It could be one of the newer VB codecs, maybe. Like RMVB or something. But Tab. is right, its probably DivX Audio (shudder) or WMA. And they both suck.

newer vb codecs? :|
rmvb is just rm renamed to show that it's using variable bitrate.

divx audio is just a hacked wma2, and that's what it is. I already explained how to fix it, google.

it may be the shitty version of wma2 theres a tweaked version running around in many online vids.

heres a way to tell
if it does this below

1a. if it is trying to connect to the microsoft site when you open it
1b. looks like it downloads a codec
1c. but then it says you need to restart the player
1d. then you do
1e. it repeats getting the codec

Open the videofile with Gspot:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm
It simply tells what audio (and video) codec video uses and tells is it installed or not
