Narrarate my own voice... HELP MEEEEE!!

Postby Sofiko » Thu Jul 17, 2003 11:48 am

I want to narrarate my own voice into my music videos, but when I have everything hooked up, it records, but there is no sound. I checked my microphone, and it was plugged in right. What do I do? :?

First, what software are you using to record?
Second, make sure the microphone input is selected in the Recording Volume Controls window for your sound card.
Use sound recorder or a real sound editor (like Soundforge) to look at the recorded result to make sure the waveforms are there.
What would be ideal is to record using Soundforge, since it has a built in volume monitor so you can see if the microphone is coming through.

if quality is not an issue, Sound Recorder can record to wav . . both a CD or Cassette and your Voice - at the same time ^^ . . at least I have done this in WinME ^^;;;

I am curious, did you manage to record your voice, and how did it go? I would be happy to give advice if need be, as I have a degree in audio recording.
