Auto-split DV clips with Premiere - How?

Postby Eek-1 » Sun Jul 13, 2003 3:19 am

Ulead videostudio has a feature called scene detector that automatically cut clips based on the start and stop codes encoded on DV. I was wondering if I can do the same way in Premiere. I looked in movie capture but there's no such option but logging. I opened batch capture but have no idea how to use it.

Got any guides? post here plzthnx.

There is no auto-detect scene feature in Premiere. You have to manually cut out clips. I find most "auto-detect" features, don't usually work, or they are more of a pain.

If you know what you want your AMV to be like, you should be able to find the scenes you need quicker manually, rather than waiting as the software compiles mini-clips.
