driving me nuts

ok i finally got the hang of premiere took me a few hours. except how do you get rid of the video's audio track. every time i try to delete it it takes the video clip along with it. can any one tell me how to get rid of the audio without deleting the clip?? thanks. i feel stupid asking this question its probably something easy. but then again i just started using premiere.

Click on the Timeline Menu and uncheck "Synch Selection".

...or if you do any pre-processing in VirtualDub you can say "No Audio" to it.

...or when you rip the DVD you can tell it to do a video only rip.

Or you can select the clip and say "unlink audio and video" from the menu.
