Anyone know how to get around ripping Steel Angel Kurumi DVD

Postby DarkSchneider » Sat Apr 05, 2003 11:58 pm

Hey,

Has anyone ran into a problem on CladDVD where it says the a sector is locked and it needs to be authored or something? How do I get around it and rip the episodes itself? If anyone has already gotten past this problem, please let me know how to deal with it. Thanks!

I use CladDVD and I think it works well for me. I've never encountered this problem, but I think authentication fails sometimes because you have to have a valid ASPI layer installed.

Obviously it doesn't work well for you if it gives you an error you can't surmount. ^_^

I think what's needed is: Adaptec ASPI XP v4.71.2. I'm not sure, though, but I believe that's it. Sorry if I'm not that educated on this stuff. I try though. I'm sure someone else could answer this much better.

As usual, Ed0 knows what he's talking about- DVDDecrpytor (easily found at doom9.org and elsewhere for free) is by far the best that I've found for ripping things.
