Morgan's mjpeg codec
I'm using the picvideo codec as prescribed in the all things video and audio guide by ermac and ian roberts...
yeah its on the right video track and its turned on... I've been editing with premire for over 3 years.... so I don't think I've suddenly lost my understanding of how the tracks work.. but I realize I didn't make that clear....
No offense, but always simple things first. ;p
when I use one of the avs files that I used to make the mjpeg files they show up fine in the timeline and in preview... its just the mjpeg files that don't show up... For example I laid two tracks (1 avs and 1 mjpeg) side by side on video 1a. the avs shows up fine post rendering.. while the mjpeg remains a black video with nothing... no render marks, no attempts to play it at all...
I think it may have something to do with project settings but I've peaked my understanding in premire of those settings.
where did the original source vid come from?
project settings in premier don't really matter until you goto render/preview it out, and then they only matter if you're
a: applying a special effect
b: fade transitioning with rubberbands
c: the source clip doesn't match the project output settings format
so try & check the file specs of the AVS stuff youre MJPEG-ing, and set your project settings to match whatever that is. If you're scripting it yourself, then fine.
To be honest i'm not sure what could be causing that.
