Failure on my part. Due to the size of the image, you can't notice it at all in the first one (It is there, it's just very faint)

Don't take a full screenshot of VirtualDub. Use the in and out markers to mark a frame range (or use Trim() in the script itself), and then use File->Export->Image sequence. Save the sequence as PNG.

I would like to point out, make sure you aren't indexing force film, as it could cause stay interlaced frames which would be blended by daa (which you have in your script).

Good point, especially that Decimating a Force Filmed d2v file will muck up the framerate.l33tmeatwad wrote:I would like to point out, make sure you aren't indexing force film, as it could cause stay interlaced frames which would be blended by daa (which you have in your script).

Re: VirtualDub Saving Takes Ages
I selected the honor pulldown flags option in DGIndex, so I don't think that's the issue.

All of the pngs are in the GG FrameBlending zip. Sorry if there's a better way of uploading them (If you'd rather me save them as a video and upload them that way, just say)

Re: VirtualDub Saving Takes Ages
I noticed in another thread you mentioning your DVD was PAL, is that the case for this source as well? If so, it is highly likely that the blending and artifacts are in the source you have because PAL versions are notorious for being messed up like that.

Yup, it is indeed the same source. Does that basically mean I just have to put up with it?

Re: VirtualDub Saving Takes Ages
If the issues are indeed in the source and you can't get a NTSC copy...then unfortunately yes.

That's annoying. I'll guess I'll just put up with it, and make a note to import anything I plan on using in the future from the US. Thanks for all the help.

On the bright side, it's less of an issue if you're going to use something modern - modern formats are pretty much all progressive now.MouseBollocks wrote:That's annoying.
