Blu-Ray conversion

Post by Scrilax » Thu Apr 05, 2012 4:35 am

Hi, I purchased a new camera that records in 1920x1080 HD, and stores the video files in Blue-Ray format (creating 4 files: .cont / .m2ts / .pmpd / .tmb)

I would like to know if someone worked with this kind of format before, I would like to get a way to convert them into some other file (mkv, mp4, avi, or another one), so I could edit/use them in software like virtualdud, adobe premiere, or (and mos important to me) in Sony Vegas.

Thanks

I just imported the files to Vegas and it supports its editing (which is somehow obvious since the ACVHD format was developed by Sony and Panasonic). But I still have some doubts, can I put aside those formats (.cont / .pmpd / .tmb) ?

AVCHD is H.264 in H.222; only the m2ts file is relevant. Handle it the same way you'd handle any other transport stream.
