AVS Premiere Import Problem

Postby Lonley Driver » Thu Feb 20, 2003 10:14 pm

So, I rip my files using DVD Decryptor
I then run them through DVD2AVI
And then I create an AVIsynth import script.

So, I have 24 AVS scripts and I import them all into Premiere and I'm going about my editing and when I try and preview it, it runs fine for a little while, but when it gets to a part where it has to switch between clips from different AVS files quickly it crashes on me.

I've tried exporting the timeline to all different sorts of formats and I still have the same problem.

So... my fix was to use Virualdub and pick the clips I want and save them as Huffyuv and then import them into premiere.

So, my question is... Should Premiere be crashing on me and if it should be, is there a better fix? Thanks!

Oh... and I may as well throw out my system specs so there's no confusion. I'm also using Premiere 6.5

P4 2.0 ghz.
1 GB PC800 RDRAM
ATI AIW 9700 PRO
SB Audigy 2
120 GB WD HD x 4 (2 RAID 0 arrays)
