To clarify a bit, you can't just burn your videos off to CD as a regular disc- there is a specific formatting that your VCD player needs to be able to play a disc as a VCD. For more information on VCDs and making them (if you're interested) you can go to http://www.vcdhelp.com. As for a program for burning off VCDs, I would concur- Nero is what I use for burning off just about everything and it works quite well.

yes vcdhelp is an incredible n00b site which is basically full of n00bs. I can't stand to go there anymore, but it definitely has good information for other n00bs
As for nero, it's definitely not the _best_ but it works. Nero's mpeg encoder is crappy, its authoring options are basically nil, and it isn't the perfect burner. A better combo would be that of TMPG for encoding, VCDimager for authoring, and CDRDAO for burning (vcdimager and cdrdao have a nice gui called VCDeasy).

Actually if you really wanted to do it in style, You'd convert your vids in TMPEGENC and then use VCDEasy which will allow you to create chapters and such. You can find demo's and the programs at www.vcdhelp.com also. I'm just speaking from experience in using these programs and their reliability. But this is only my opinon and thus everyone is entitled to their own opinon

yeah, that's what I said :P

vcdeasy is just a gui for the vcdimager toolset
