well yeah, using avisynth to create a directshowsource("vid.wmv", 29.97) or something similar and opening it in virtualdub to export as avi would work... also, look for a program on google called eo video, it should be able to do the conversion for you

thanks...this should be usefule. and its nice to have some one nder stnding. you would be serpised by the number of times i have been mete with a tornt of flames and insults, ehich pissis me off no end.
i will look for that program. some sort of convert did deem the only fesbel option, althoug it is always best ask thougs who have had delings with it all, and the name should help me narro my serch, as it can be hell serching throug hunders of pages of dud results. thanks.
